ENJOYiNG LiFE!

I realize I say I'm going to blog, and then.....I don't. Well here I am trying this blogging thing again. The last time I blogged, well was far to long ago. Since then I have been to a million more bullridings, learned a million more things, and had a lot of fun.

I have been back at school for 3 weeks now and I'm just enjoying it. I now live in a house with 3 boys and my roommate from last year, Jori. It's been a crazy experience living with young boys that are messy, it's something I am so not used to. Since I have been back in school, I have realized how much I miss home. Home is peaceful and beautiful. My family is there and so are my friends. Where I live now is oil country, there's trucks everywhere and the land just isn't the same. I now look forward to going home and treat it like its a gift.

I'm going to start blogging more(hopefully). Tonight I work and tomorrow I'm going to the North Dakota Rodeo Association Finals in Watford City, ND.

COWBOY CHRISTMAS

Hello blog world! Today I'm writing from my living room while catching up on some of my favorite TV shows. This past weekend we had our bulls at a PBR Touring Pro event in Binford, ND and for those of you that don't know where that is, well you missed out. We put on another successful show and let me tell you the bulls sure bucked! I can't explain how proud of them we are. They all looked so good and so did all of my buddies riding. Kody Lostroh won the event, Dusty Ephrom took 2nd, and Skeeter Kingsolver took 3rd and 4th! Skeeter rode so well! He entered the bull riding twice and rode all four of his bulls. We had a great time afterwards, but it was sure good to be home.

This week starts the biggest and most busiest week in the rodeo world. Cowboys and girls are traveling all over the country hitting as many rodeo's as possible to win themselves a check. There are more pro rodeo's going on this next week than most people can think of.

I will be heading to Park Rapids, MN for a 3 day PBR Touring Pro Event! My brother is heading to Killdeer, ND with another pot load of bulls. The next 2 months are going to be insane and fun filled! BULL RIDINGS, RODEOS, BULL RIDINGS!!! :)

Here are some pics from the last week!

This is the way I live.....

I realize I have no blogged in 3 months and I apologize, but I've been just a little bit busy finishing my first year of college. My first year went great! I had good times and made great friends.

Today I have spent the day mainly sleeping. This weekend we had our 11th Annual Dakota Community Bank PBR. It is a PBR Touring Pro Division event, and this year was another successful one! Robson Polermo won the event and took home nearly twenty grand! The bulls bucked great and the riders rode well.

Friday night after the event I was too tired to do anything so I just went home and slept, but Saturday I had to celebrate a little and go out. I got to hang out on the Cooper Tire stage and have a good time. Once one o'clock rolled around, we decided to go out and have some more fun. A bunch of us headed out to a buddies house and sat around visiting and what not. It was such a good time and it was so great to see some of the boys I haven't go to see in quite some time.

Yesterday we had our Father's Day BBQ at our house. We grilled, visited, and drank lots of margarita's. Our sound man Rich is part owner in a tequila company called Tres Agaves so he made drinks for everyone!

Lots of our friends and family came out to enjoy the day with us. I took Skeeter, Dusty Labeth, Ryan, Kassie, and Randy Dirteater to see the bulls and tour our place and they sure enjoyed it. Skeeter, Dusty, and Ryan are putting on a bull riding school this week at our place and then we will all head to Binford, ND for the Touring Pro event.

So far it has been a really great summer being back at home and spending time with my family, friends, and bulls. I hope all the fathers out there had a great day yesterday!
Have a great week!

St. Patrick's Day!

I FINALLY have my Mac Book back! I went three weeks without it because my power chord was spliced and I had to order a new one. It was no fun!

Today I thought I'd blog a little bit about the real meaning of Saint Patrick's Day. As a catholic, I feel that many people overlook the real meaning of religious/ holy days. Now I now St. Patrick's Day isn't celebrated like any other religious holiday, but I would like to inform everyone on the real meaning.

Saint Patrick was the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland who is credited with bringing christianity to Ireland. The holiday is now associated with everything Irish and the color green, but actually it was created to as a traditional day for spiritual renewal and a prayer offering.

In Ireland today is a big day. Most places are closed and there is a mass to celebrate. Around the USA there are parades and large celebrations. We typically forget the real meaning of today. So don't forget to say a prayer and offer it to someone else!

Tonight I'm actually going to a St. Patricks Day celebration at a buddy of mines. It's going to be a great time and I can't wait to see my friends.

This past week I have been on Spring Break and have had a little time off of school, which has been really nice. I got to go home Sunday and stay until Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning my sister loaded up two of her cows and she dropped me off at my apt on her way to South Dakota to take them to a genetics facility. This weekend there's a bull riding finals here in my college town. It should be a good time and fun to watch some bulls and see whats out there. I've been alone at my apartment, but starting tonight I will have bull riders staying with me. This is always interesting and fun. I know of atleast four of my boys staying with me, but that number could easily go up! I love weekends with my boys. I've been around bulls and bull riding my whole life. I've known most of these boys for as long as I can remember, and this has made me one of the boys. I am such a guys girl. We have the best time talking bulls and hanging out.
So here's to a wonderful weekend!!

Hope everyone has fun and be safe!!

BRING ON THE SUNSHINE!

It's time to blog! I  have to tell everyone, I am in such a good mood! I really think it's this beautiful weather we have been having! Today I woke up and I didn't even have to start my car early, it was 35 degrees! Now I know to many people that is cold, but where I'm from, it's a blessing! This sun and vitamin d is really putting me on cloud nine, and I just love it!
So this week I started my new job! I'm not sure if I can actually call it new, since the only jobs I've had have been for Chad Berger Bucking Bulls(cough cough, my dad), Jane's Down Home Cooking(my grandmas best friend), oh and I guess I word for the CBA team Dakota Wizards, but really nothing I needed any legal tax and paper work to fill out. I bet you're wondering where I got a job, Herbergers. It's a department type retail store and about the only good place in the college town! I really think I am going to like it and I think I'm going to like this whole working thing, sometimes anyway!
Tomorrow is my last day of classes for the next week because it's SPRING BREAK!!!! Hopefully we have spring weather all next week just to add a little excitement. This last weekend my family and I were in Valley City, ND where our rodeo company put on a PRCA! The event went really well and the crowd and rodeo committee loved it! They had one of the best crowds in years so it was a great event for us. Not only were we putting on a rodeo here, but our trucker Bubba was with the bulls in Chicago, IL for the PBR Built Ford Tough! The bulls bucked OUTSTANDING!!! We had the highest bull scores and Robson Polermo rode Wild n Out for 90 + and he won the event.
I can't even begin to explain how much of a blessing our amazing athletes have been for us. I really love the bulls and they continue to make us proud each and every week! I think our Chad Berger Bulls "team" is doing a really good job! Tomrrow, March 11, I will be on Makin 8 Radio with Scott Messick. We are going to talk a  little bit about the bulls I'm favoring right now and just about some events we have going on!
Here's the link to the site, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/makin8-outreach/2011/03/10/lunch-hr-rodeo-show. The show will start at 12:30 eastern time and usually lasts about an hour!
Be sure to check me out on Twitter @sadieberger and if you add me on Facebook, add a little note telling me who you are! Thanks!

TRUE BEST FRIENDS!

College has really changed my life and it has changed it for the best! I can't even begin to explain how great my life has been the past 7 months! I have become even closer with my family and I have found my true BEST FRIENDS. I have realized I am a guys girl and I do have more guy friends than girls, which works great for me! There are a few special friends I need to write about.

My number one girl, which I could not live without: Shanyce Jo Fredricks.
I do not even know where to start when it comes to here, but she is honestly the one friend that I KNOW will never leave me. We have honestly gone through everything that most friendships would not survive, but we have made it and I cant explain how great it is to have a friend like her. I've never met an individual as strong and supportive as her. She has been through EVERYTHING! Shanyce's father died when she was only 4 years old, he was a family friend and a great bullrider! This is just one element of her life that has made her one of the strongest people I know. Just a few short years ago her brother, also a great bullrider had a career ending injury and suffered a broken neck. They said he would probably never walk, but he has done the impossible and walks. There are so many other life changes events that have happened to this girl, that I can't even imagine. Somedays when I'm feeling bad about something going on in my life, I need to think of her and how she has managed to push through all the bad. I don't get to see Shanyce as often as I would like, but when we do see eachother, its like we never were apart. This girl is the greatest friend I could ask for and I love her with all my heart!!!!

Tate Smith
Tate has been a friend of mine, since before I can remember. Our dads used to be traveling partners back in their bull riding days, which automatically makes us friends. Tate picks on me just like a brother, but I pick right back. He drives me crazy and makes me laugh! I know that if I ever need anything, I can always count on him. From the sleepovers at my house, to the road trips to bullridings. We have literally had the best times together! I know that this guy will be a best friend of mine for my whole life!

Jori Gjermundson
Well Jori and I have only been friends since we started school and living together this last August, but I'm so glad I was lucky enough to find a roomate like her! I can always rely on her when I really need something. She listens to me vent, which let me tell you....I DO THIS A LOT!!! haha She's sharing and very understanding. She puts up with my messes and anything else annoying I may do! I hope our friendship conitnues to grow, because so far it has been a really good one!

Kasey VanHoose
I met Kasey at a bull riding about 4 years ago and I'm pretty sure when we met it was similar to Step Brothers: "DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS, YUP!" He lives 1500 miles away from me, but our relationship is excellent. I honestly tell  him everything and he tells me the same. I call him crying and he takes care of me. I could not ask for a better guy friend! I wish I could see him everyday, but it's more like once a year, but everytime we see eachother, it's always a good time!

There are several more people I could type about, but they know who they are. Let me tell you about my weekend! It started a little early, THURSDAY NIGHT THUNDER! Thrusday night there was a lot of people in town because the bronc school that was taking place at the college. We headed over to the "boys" and started an eventful night. Tate and two of my other buddies, Skyler and Cody came over and Skyler brought his cheapy guitar and played for us. He's excellent!!! We sang and drank and had a blast! We continued to do this Friday night and Saturday night......We were just a little tired the next day ;)  Shanyce came to visit Friday night & well it didn't turn out as we planned! Lets just say we weren't getting along, but it all worked out the next day! I spent the weekend hanging out with my favorite people and here they are: Shanyce Fredricks, Tate Smith, Jori Gjermundson, Jake Bauman, Alyssa Breuer, Dalyss Hanson, Luke Honeyman, Skyler Johnson, Cody Kehr, Jordan Pelton, Logan Nehl, Wyatt Bice, and Ethan Harris.

COPPERHEAD ROAD

Once again it has been a while since I have blogged. Once again, this college stuff has me very busy! The last two weekends I have gone home for several different reasons. Two weeks ago I went home for the local PRCA Rodeo and to have a good time with friends. I got to see my best friend, my family, and a lot of other really great friends. I had a blast and I really enjoyed the weekend. This last weekend I went home to take care of the animals because my parents were in Dallas for the Iron Man PBR Challenge, which I must say was pretty awesome. We had an amazing set of bulls that performed at excellent!!! I was so proud of the bulls. Some of the bulls out were: Big Tex, Smackdown, Bring It, The Situation, Mellow Yellow Jacket, and Yellow Jacket Junior. Needless to say, this pen brought their A GAME!!!
Today I got some pretty sad news that one of the bulls that put us on the map Copperhead Slinger, passed away. He hadn't bucked since late 2009 due to infection, but it was a very sad day and hard to let him go. You know that your bulls are like family when you get a phone call saying one of them has passed and you start crying. Copperhead had such a great personality, I have a few videos of him just playing around at home that I will try to find and post. Here are a few pictures. (Also once I get the charger back for my Mac Book I will post a few more pictures of Copperhead and I that we took for my senior pictures!)
This weekend I will  just be hanging around college town and spending time with some friends. My roommates dad has a saddle bronc school here this weekend so we will be helping out at that.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

This is Copperhead Slinger and myself just messing around. His favorite time was feeding, when he would finish he would flip his bucket over with his mouth!

Stay Classy, Rapid City

I do not even know where to start, but lets just say.....I experienced one of the top 10 weekend of my life this last weekend. My friends and I took a trip to Rapidy City, SD for the Black Hills Stock Show, and let me tell you, IT WAS AWESOME!!! From the time we got into the vehicle to head there, until the time we got home, it was a great trip. We went to two performances of the rodeo, checked out the trade show, & we did a little drinking.
I've come to realize that the friends I had in high school, were the friends I had in high school for a reason. I now realize the friends I have in college are friends for life and would do anything for you. My roomate and I spent most of our trip with our group of about seven boys and I cant even explain how good they were to us. Making sure we had what we needed, giving us time to get ready, calling us to check and see that we were okay. It was really great of them and Jor and I sure appreciated it. There was never a dull momemnt on our trip and I think I laughed the whole time, until I lost my cellphone!!!:( Turns out it was in the bleachers AMEN!!!
There's so much about this trip I would love to share, but it would take up about 5 pages!!!

Lets just say we did a lot of laughing, dancing, singing, & drinking!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Pictures to come soon! ;)

Out with the Old, In with the New....fan or not?

So the hot topic in the bull riding world right now it, the new format, the new voices, & the new everything to do with the PBR. I have done a lot of reading on the blog comments and all over facebook and twitter and it seems as though the fans are not huge FANS of this new production. If you have not realized, the format is totally different, they have added several new elements to the production that they are still working on. I have not decided yet if I am a fan of it, but I do know I don't like the wired feature because you can barley hear the riders talking and it is kind of pointless.
On the other hand they have replaced Justin McKee & Leah Garcia with Ty Murray and Erin Coscarelli. Now of course I believe Justin McKee did a fabulous job and was a great voice for the PBR, but Ty Murray always brings a whole lot of knowledge on more than just the bulls, but the riders and what they need to work on. Many of you have read that Erin is from Los Angeles and did not grow up in the rodeo scene, but several of you have forgotten that Leah did not either. Many fans have just recently started following over the last few years and you may not know that Leah once started exactly where Erin did and let me tell you, it is not an easy job. It takes time to learn about the sport, the riders, and the bulls, it can't happen over night. I really think everyone should give her a chance and let her see what she can do before you really put her down and say such harsh things. The job that her and many other sports broadcasters do is something I have wanted to do for a very long time and I know that my first few months wouldn't be perfect. Yes, I have the knowledge, I know all the guys, and the bulls, but that doesn't mean it would be easy!
I feel that the PBR has changed a lot in just the past year not only in production. They have changed the sport of bull riding in to something I'm not to sure if I like. This weekend is Portland, Oregon PBR and our bulls will not be headed that way, it seems as though there are some more important people who have to take bulls even though we are veterans in the business and the bulls usually always show up to perform. The bulls will be out next weekend in Oklahoma City. Good luck to all the boys, bulls, & crew headed for Portland.
Also, don't forget the PBR road crew who is traveling this week through heavy snow storms. I have talked to a few of the guys and they said it sure is cold and hard to drive through, but they are all about making it to the next stop and putting on another great event!

I'm headed to Rapid City, SD this weekend for the Black Hills stock show to have a great time with some friends and to watch some bulls and check out the talent! I think it's going to be a great time and who knows, maybe I'll find me a good bull!

Have a great week everybody and stay warm!!!
